Garbage Truck Rollover Spackenkill Road - Sept. 22, 2008 : On Sept. 22, 2008 at around 3:15 pm a Royal garbage truck on Spackenkill Road lost control while traveling eastbound downhill near Millbank Road. When the truck lost control it sweared across both lanes and rolled over coming to rest on a gaurdrail facing west in the eastbound lane on the drivers side. Jackson Corners Road House Explosion : August 31, 2008 - Gallatin, Columbia County, NY - Just before noon today a house's ruins caused by an explosion of a propane tank was reported to fire dispatch centers in both Dutchess and Columbia Counties. The fire was on Jackson Corners Road were the border of Columbia County and Dutchess County meet. Firefighters from Milan and Pine Plains in Dutchess County and Livingston, Germantown, Taghkanic, Greenport and Elizaville in Columbia County responded to the scene. Several EMS agencies also responded to the scene from NDP EMS, Community EMS and Greenport EMS. There were two reported victims removed in ambulances to medi-vac helicopters for airlifting to local trauma centers, but the injuries were reported to not be life threatening. It was reported that another couple people were taken to a local hospital in the area with minor injuries.

Ulster County Volunteer Fireman's Association Parade - July 26, 2009 : July 26, 2009 - Fire Departments from all over the area converged on the small village of Milton, NY here to participate in the 47th annual Ulster County Volunteer Fireman's Convention Parade. Departments were represented from Orange and Dutchess Counties as well as from Ulster county itself. These pictures are actually those of my 10 year old son's that he took, as I myself was driving one of my department's vehicles. Thanks to Billy for taking these photos, he is well on his way to becoming a good photographer I think.
